The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knudsen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hanma.
Hanma fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Knudsen.
Nice takedown defense from Hanma. No joy for Knudsen on that attempt.
Knudsen has a takedown stuffed.
Knudsen stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Hanma.
Knudsen misses with a takedown attempt - Hanma sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Olafur Knudsen. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hanma decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Knudsen tries to get to full guard but Hanma has control of the leg.

Hanma is working for a submission of some sort.

Knudsen is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Hanma pulls his head out easily.

Knudsen had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Hanma is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Knudsen Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Hanma's back instead.
Knudsen is breathing heavily.

Hanma is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Hanma is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hanma rolls, trying to escape but Knudsen keeps control of the position.

Knudsen has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Hanma is defending well but eventually Knudsen manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Hanma has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
