The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Topper Green and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hedbert closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boyce's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Hedbert sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Boyce's guard.

Boyce tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hedbert has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Hedbert is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Boyce can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Hedbert is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Hedbert extends the arm and Boyce is forced to tap!

Albrecht Hedbert decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
