Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marquis Stewart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Rowdy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rowdy comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Blindspott - Nill by Mouth kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Marquis Stewart! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Max Rowdy! The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Bruno Hogan and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stewart throws a sloppy head kick and Rowdy moves out of range easily. Stewart lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Stewart instigates a clinch. Stewart successfully pulls guard.
Rowdy stands up from Stewart's guard - Rowdy perhaps looking for a knockout. Stewart is looking to clinch but Rowdy is avoiding it.
Stewart wants to clinch. Stewart connects with a leg kick. Rowdy looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Marquis Stewart is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stewart finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
No luck for Rowdy with that takedown attempt. Stewart keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Stewart fails in his attempt to clinch. Stewart takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stewart throws a leg kick which misses Rowdy's front leg but catches the back leg as Rowdy tries to avoid it. Rowdy moves into range and clinches up with Stewart. Stewart breaks from the clinch.
Stewart dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Rowdy. That did some damage! Stewart tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rowdy paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rowdy feints and as Stewart raises his hands in defense, Rowdy changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Stewart looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rowdy is one step ahead there. Rowdy is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rowdy pushes down on Stewart's leg and manages to get into half guard. Rowdy moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Stewart.
Stewart knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rowdy on the ground. Stewart is letting Rowdy control him for a moment. Stewart misses with a strike from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stewart is not content to let Rowdy control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Stewart looking for a sweep but Rowdy has passed into full mount! Oh no! Stewart really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Stewart is trying to reverse the position but instead Rowdy has taken his back - oops! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Stewart tries to escape but Rowdy has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Rowdy is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Stewart won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Rowdy off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Max Rowdy! An out of breath Max Rowdy thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
