Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hyun Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kengo Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 19 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hyun Sudo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kengo Watanabe!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watanabe throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Watanabe has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Watanabe shoots in and gets a takedown into Sudo's guard.
Watanabe connects with a couple of short punches.
Watanabe is looking to work some ground and pound but Sudo has wrist control.

Sudo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Watanabe postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Watanabe is working Sudo over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Sudo wants to sweep but no luck.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Watanabe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sudo has his foot on Watanabe's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Watanabe works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kengo Watanabe dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Hyun Sudo's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Watanabe misses with a double jab.
Nice takedown defense from Sudo. No joy for Watanabe on that attempt.
Watanabe has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Sudo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Watanabe manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Watanabe tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sudo was well out of range. Poor timing from Watanabe.
Watanabe has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Watanabe there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sudo wants to clinch up but Watanabe keeps it at a distance.
Watanabe fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Hyun Sudo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Watanabe misses with a series of wild punches.
Sudo avoids a punch combination nicely.
Watanabe moves out of range of the body kick from Sudo.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hyun Sudo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kengo Watanabe.
Sudo prevents the takedown attempt.
Sudo lands a nice uppercut.
Watanabe has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Sudo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Sudo can't find room to land a body shot as Watanabe controls the action.
Our sources have told us that Sudo has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Sudo is controlling Watanabe's trapped leg to prevent Watanabe from advancing to side control.

Watanabe has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Sudo's face.

Sudo is bucking up trying to escape but Watanabe cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Oh Sudo is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Watanabe fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Watanabe lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sudo hang on?
Watanabe unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Sudo wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Watanabe celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kengo Watanabe!
Kengo Watanabe seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
