Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ben Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugo Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beast comes to the cage accompanied by Could you be loved. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ben Beast! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hugo Lewis! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis fails with an attempt to clinch.
Beast slips a jab and a cross from Lewis.
Beast shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lewis napping and manages to drive through into side control! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Beast tries for a kimura but Lewis is defending well. Beast working the ground and pound. Beast in side control, throwing shots but Lewis defends. Beast wants to control but Lewis is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Beast wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Beast tries to advance position but instead Lewis slips a leg back in to half guard. Lewis tries to get to full guard but Beast has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beast wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lewis keeps working. Beast with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Lewis is not content to let Beast control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Ben Beast just wasn't active enough. Lewis is looking to clinch. Beast scores with a takedown into Lewis's guard. Lewis has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis keeping full guard, as Beast tries to pass. Beast throwing strikes but missing. Lewis keeping moving, preventing Beast from controlling successfully. Beast is looking to work some ground and pound but Lewis has wrist control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Beast passes Lewis's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Beast is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Beast wants to advance to full mount but Lewis doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Beast is looking to work some ground and pound but Lewis has wrist control. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Beast stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lewis swivels though and keeps the full guard. Beast missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Beast drives through with a takedown into Lewis's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Beast trying to control but Lewis is working from the bottom. Lewis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Beast postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lewis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Beast, into his guard. Lewis wants to stand but Beast is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beast wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Beast is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Lewis must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Beast wants to sweep but no luck.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beast controls Lewis momentarily but Lewis frees himself.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Beast gets a takedown into half guard. Beast working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Lewis's thigh. Lewis counters though and makes it back to full guard. Beast won't allow Lewis to sweep him here. Ben Beast overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Beast wants to pass the guard but Lewis is keeping the position. Beast with a nice head shot there. Beast in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Beast trying to control but Lewis is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Beast accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Lewis keeping moving, preventing Beast from controlling successfully. Beast stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lewis swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Beast closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lewis quickly recovers to half guard. Beast wants to control but Lewis is keeping him busy. Lewis is trying to get back to full guard. Beast sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lewis defending well though. Lewis blocking the ground and pound attempt from Beast. Beast has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Beast is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lewis sees it coming and defends easily. Lewis avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Beast.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Beast is working away from the top position though. Beast is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Lewis is not content to let Beast control the position. Beast not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lewis regains full guard. Nicely done. Lewis tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lewis keeping moving, preventing Beast from controlling successfully. We've been hearing that Beast has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Lewis working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Beast. Beast trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Beast is looking to pass into half guard but Lewis pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Lewis is in guard. Lewis is looking to stand up but Beast won't let him. Beast looking for a sweep. Not yet Beast, not yet.

We're going to have a standup here because Ben Beast wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Lewis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Lewis swings for the body but Beast moves out of range.
Lewis punishes Beast's body with a nice straight punch. Beast shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lewis's guard. Lewis keeping full guard, as Beast tries to pass. Beast trying to control the position from guard on top but Lewis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Lewis is concentrating on defense, preventing Beast from advancing position. Beast with the ground and pound but Lewis uses the opportunity to regain guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Beast is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Beast trying to control but Lewis is working from the bottom. Lewis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Beast has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lewis has managed to get both his arms back between Beast's legs - danger averted. Lewis stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Beast shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Beast throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Lewis wants to get back to his feet. Beast is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lewis sees it coming and defends easily. Lewis has his hands clasped together around Beast's back. He's all about the action.

Lewis sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Beast thows a huge punch but Lewis dodges it nicely.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Beast circles away from the clinch attempt.
Beast decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Beast is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Lewis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Beast. Beast throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that's the end of the fight! Ben Beast showed his dominance in that final round. Well Beast has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
