The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Halo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Punk.
Halo misses with a double jab.
Nice sprawl there from Halo as Punk shoots in.
Punk shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Halo scores with a sloppy right hand. Punk should have avoided that one.
It looks like CM Punk has been cut.
Punk drives through and clinches with Halo against the cage.

Punk has Halo pressed against the cage, preventing Halo from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Halo tries a body shot but Punk blocks it.

Punk manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Halo on his heels. He'll look to pass Halo's guard now, I'm sure.
Halo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Punk. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Punk drops back looking for a leg! Halo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Halo manages to kick Punk off! Punk jumps back into Halo's guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Halo lunges at Punk with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Punk's hand.
A punch lands to the side of Punk 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Punk throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Halo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Punk is in Halo's guard.

Oh Punk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
CM Punk's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Halo drops Punk with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Punk looks back up at him and smiles so Halo waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Halo throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Punk stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Punk moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Punk gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Halo gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ken Halo!
Ken Halo was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
