Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bong Ki Duk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tero Elo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ki Duk comes into the arena with north korea's national anthem blaring out of the sound system. Bong Ki Duk has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bong Ki Duk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tero Elo! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ki Duk tries to clinch there but Elo circles away.
Ki Duk moves into range and clinches up with Elo. Ki Duk misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ki Duk lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Ki Duk softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. Elo is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Ki Duk is keeping busy. Elo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ki Duk lands with a nice combination. Elo backs away looking to recover.
It looks like Tero Elo has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Ki Duk pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Ki Duk stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ki Duk wants it to stay on the feet. Elo shoots in looking for a takedown. Ki Duk tries to sprawl out of it but Elo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ki Duk manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Elo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Ki Duk wants to get back to his feet.
Elo is just content to waste time from the top position. Ki Duk takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elo stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ki Duk swivels though and keeps the full guard. Elo controlling from the top position. Elo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Elo stops Ki Duk from standing up. Elo tries to free his leg and advance position but Ki Duk is retaining full guard. Elo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Ki Duk is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Elo, into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elo looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Elo looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Elo is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ki Duk defends well. Ki Duk trying to control the position from guard on top but Elo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Elo lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Ki Duk! Elo looking to secure an arm triangle but Ki Duk defends it well. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Ki Duk is looking to get to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Bong Ki Duk will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Tero Elo's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A head kick misses from Ki Duk. Ki Duk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Elo moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Elo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Ki Duk defends well and Elo ends up having to push Ki Duk into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Ki Duk lands a right hand. Elo is looking for a takedown. Elo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ki Duk gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bong Ki Duk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tero Elo. A hook to the body from Ki Duk.
Ki Duk working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A nice right hand lands inside from Ki Duk. I was talking to Ki Duk's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Ki Duk will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Elo up against the cage. Ki Duk seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Elo is breathing heavily. A right hook to the body lands for Ki Duk.

Ki Duk lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Elo to his knees! Ki Duk keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
