Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Roman Kvasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josh Bolda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kvasov comes to the cage accompanied by Diskoteka avaria-Nebo. Bolda has chosen Fett's Vette as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 26 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Roman Kvasov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Bolda! The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bolda avoids the head kick by Kvasov.
Bolda catches Kvasov with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Bolda avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Kvasov takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Kvasov gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bolda. Nice uppercut there from Bolda. Bolda keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Bolda misses with a looping right. A big left from Kvasov misses. Kvasov has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kvasov there as he acknowledges the shot. Kvasov scores with a head kick. Bolda tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kvasov scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Bolda works the jab nicely. Bolda has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Bolda gets a clinch. A head punch on the inside from Kvasov fails to land. Bolda misses with a short punch on the inside. Kvasov tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bolda's elbow. Kvasov blocking some punches.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kvasov. Kvasov throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Boldas head.

Bolda has Kvasov pressed against the cage, preventing Kvasov from circling away and getting back to striking at range. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Kvasov. Kvasov is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Kvasov pushes Bolda back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Kvasov digs a right hand underneath Bolda's ribcage. Bolda let out a lung full of air as it connected. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bolda's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Kvasov lands with a short shot to the head. Kvasov tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bolda's elbow. Bolda scores with a nice hook to the head. A head punch on the inside from Kvasov fails to land. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Both fighters working to control the clinch. Kvasov misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Bolda changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kvasov fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Roman Kvasov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josh Bolda. Bolda slips a jab and a cross from Kvasov.

Bolda closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Bolda in side control, just content to control the action for now. Kvasov is trying to buck Bolda off. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bolda drives through with a takedown into guard. Bolda trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Bolda landing with the ground and pound. Bolda looking to pass the guard. Bolda trying to control the position from guard on top but Kvasov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bolda prevents Kvasov from getting back to his feet. Kvasov can't keep his opponent in guard - Bolda advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Bolda trying to mount his opponent but Kvasov defends it. Kvasov is staying active underneath Bolda, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bolda is figuring out what he wants to do next. Kvasov is trying to stand.
Bolda is looking to take a break and control but Kvasov is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bolda prevents Kvasov from standing back up.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Bolda landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Bolda seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bolda is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kvasov defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bolda throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Bolda in particular looking to stall. Bolda seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Bolda has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bolda has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Bolda looking to control and managing it successfully. Kvasov is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Bolda can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kvasov is looking to escape. Bolda looking for a guillotine from mount but Kvasov is having none of it.
