The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Montana as Mir shoots in.
Montana fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mir manages to avoid it.
Montana moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Mir shoots and misses
and Montana counters with a body kick.
Mir looks winded!

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mir ducks right into an uppercut from Montana.
Mir misses with a takedown
and Montana makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Karim Montana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir.
Montana tries a head kick but it misses.
BOOM! Montana lands a beautiful left hook that drops Mir. Mir tries to recover but Montana is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Mir lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Karim Montana!
After winning the bout, Karim Montana thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
