Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hae Ki Park! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jonny Stevens! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stevens stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Park. Stevens shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Park sprawls well. Park wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stevens gets slowly back to his feet. Stevens shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Park sprawls well. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Park is working Stevens over against the cage. Stevens tries to score a body lock takedown but Park shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Park lands a body punch. Park lands a right hand. Park pushes off an throws an elbow but Stevens leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. A short body shot lands from Park as the two fighters clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Park is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stevens defends well. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Stevens wants to control from the top but Park keeps moving. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Jonny Stevens was stalling too much, according to the referee. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Park, right into the meat.

Hae Ki Park dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Park closes the distance and lands a one-two. Stevens shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Park as he jumps to the side. Stevens shoots in for a takedown but Park shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens. Hae Ki Park has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonny Stevens. Park stuffs the takedown. Stevens takes a body punch but keeps moving. No luck for Stevens with that takedown attempt. Stevens goes for a double leg but Park avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Park continues to drive forward. A short right from Park on the inside. Park lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Stevens avoiding damage as Park throws knees to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action! Park is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Stevens is aware though and is defending well. Stevens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Park has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevens has managed to get both his arms back between Park's legs - danger averted. Jonny Stevens has got the better of the ground game so far. That's three minutes gone in the round. Park had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stevens defends it easily. Stevens is stalling in the full guard. Park is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stevens defends well. Stevens wants to control from the top but Park keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Stevens accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stevens trying to control but Park is working from the bottom. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Park preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Stevens trying to control but Park is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Jonny Stevens. Stevens tries to clinch up and Park counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Stevens misses with a right hand and Park counters with a stiff right hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Stevens is trying hard to land a takedown here. Park sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Stevens takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Stevens. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Park, as that shot connected.

Hae Ki Park dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stevens is defended easily by Park. Park misses with a wild combination.
Jonny Stevens seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Stevens crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Park - the referee stops the clock and Stevens gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Park. Stevens manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Park throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. A jab lands there for Park. That kick from Park tenderised Stevens's leg. Stevens is trying to keep his angry face on. Park clinches. Stevens can't get the takedown.

We're going to have a standup here because Hae Ki Park wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Stevens showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Park.
Stevens shoots in but no luck this time. Hae Ki Park is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. A kick lands to the mid section there for Park. Hae Ki Park is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Good leg kick by Park there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stevens fails with the takedown and Park counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Park clinches up against the cage. Come on Park - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Stevens has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Park is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Park scores with a nice hook to the head. Stevens swings away with an uppercut that misses.

And that's the end of the fight! Hae Ki Park showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Park, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
