Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eugene Carl Alexander Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohammad Al Nasser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mohammad Al Nasser will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Eugene Carl Alexander Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 20 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohammad Al Nasser!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Jonathan Paton and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burns drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Burns preventing the sweep.
Al Nasser doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Burns trying to control the position from guard on top but Al Nasser is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Al Nasser not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Burns won't allow Al Nasser to sweep him here.
Burns has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Burns controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Burns's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

We're going to have a standup here because Eugene Carl Alexander Burns wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Al Nasser moves away from the strike by Burns.

and Burns counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Burns can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Al Nasser is looking to escape.

Al Nasser tries to control Burns's body but Burns pushes him off. Al Nasser squirms to his side and now Burns has his back!
Al Nasser turns into Burns and is now in his guard.
Al Nasser is looking to stand up but Burns won't let him.

Burns has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Burns is trying to keep Al Nasser in close.

Al Nasser misses with a takedown

and Burns counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Al Nasser!

The strikes coming from Burns are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

Burns tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Burns goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Al Nasser rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Burns's guard! Nice work there by Al Nasser!

Burns escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Al Nasser gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Burns had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Al Nasser defends it easily.

Burns is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Al Nasser throws a big right hand that misses.
Al Nasser wants to stand but Burns has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Burns looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Al Nasser has picked Burns up and slammed him! Burns can't keep hold of the triangle and Al Nasser manages to pass to side control!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Burns drops back, looking for a kneebar! Al Nasser looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Al Nasser looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Al Nasser!

Burns is looking to regain half guard here but Al Nasser keeps moving and retains side control.

Al Nasser with the ground and pound but Burns regains half guard under the barage of strikes.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Al Nasser thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Burns's head.

Al Nasser thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Eugene Carl Alexander Burns.
Al Nasser looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Burns is fending him off so far but Al Nasser persists. Nope, Burns circles away and we're back to standing.

Mohammad Al Nasser has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Burns, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
