Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kolo Cornelius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Jay Franlkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Jay Franlkin!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cornelius ducks under a wild hook from Franlkin.
Franlkin bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Franlkin takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Cornelius lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Cornelius with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Cornelius fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Franlkin throws a series of punches but Cornelius avoids them all with ease.
Cornelius misses with a lunging right hand
and Franlkin counters with a series of strikes. Cornelius will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Cornelius, right into the meat.
Cornelius swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Cornelius connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Franlkin throws a head kick that misses.
Cornelius lands a leg kick that knocks Franlkin off balance momentarily.
Good leg kick by Cornelius there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Franlkin throws a shot from downtown. Cornelius moves away and avoids it.
A big left from Cornelius misses.
Franlkin lands a left and a right that send Cornelius crashing to the mat, dazed. Franlkin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Cornelius is rocked!
It looks like Kolo Cornelius has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Franlkin lands a nice hook to Cornelius's body. Cornelius takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Cornelius clinches up with Franlkin and pushes him back against the cage.
Cornelius tries to land knees in the clinch but Franlkin avoids the damage to the body.
I was talking to Cornelius's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Franlkin is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cornelius tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Cornelius misses with a punch to the body.
Franlkin has had enough of the clinch but Cornelius keeps him there for the moment.
Franlkin tries to break the clinch but Cornelius is controlling the position.
Franlkin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Franlkin looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cornelius throws an off balance right hand
and Franlkin counters with a crisp one two that drops Cornelius! Franlkin thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Cornelius to his feet! Cornelius is in big trouble!
Oh Cornelius is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Franlkin swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Cornelius counters with a straight right hand.
Franlkin pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Cornelius tries to clinch but Franlkin moves out of range.
Franlkin staying out of range there.
Franlkin drops Cornelius with a huge uppercut! Cornelius drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Franlkin is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Richard Jay Franlkin!
Richard Jay Franlkin bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
