Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arnold Crank! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jefferson Montgomery! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Trevor Gratis and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Crank. Crank shoots for a double leg takedown but Montgomery sprawls well. He's pushed Crank's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Crank fails with a takedown attempt from distance. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arnold Crank. That's going to take a lot out of him. Crank tries to clinch there but Montgomery circles away.

Montgomery misses with a hook. Crank ducked under it nicely. Montgomery throws a right hand that Crank ducks under and follows up with a left that Crank also avoids with ease. Crank is looking to clinch. Montgomery is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Crank keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Montgomery. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montgomery waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Crank. Crank looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Montgomery! Crank content just to control the position here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montgomery is squirming around, avoiding Crank's attempts to control the action. Montgomery is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Crank goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Montgomery turns into him and now he's in Crank's guard.
Crank is trying to control the position but Montgomery postures up. Montgomery trying to control the position from guard on top but Crank is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Crank is pulling down on Montgomery's head. It's preventing any offense from Montgomery, at least for the moment. Crank is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Crank has his hands on Montgomery's head, controlling the position. Montgomery wants to stand but Crank has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crank is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Crank is looking for a kimura but Montgomery is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Crank to get the leverage. Montgomery is trying to get back to full guard. Crank seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Montgomery does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Montgomery is trying to escape back to his feet but Crank uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Crank is trying to move to mount but Montgomery reverses beautifully and ends up in Crank's guard. Montgomery tries to free his leg and advance position but Crank is retaining full guard. Crank has his feet on Montgomery's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Crank. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Montgomery swings for the body but Crank moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Arnold Crank dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Crank shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Crank is looking to chop away at Montgomery's legs. Montgomery rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Crank moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Crank fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Crank looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Montgomery is fending him off so far but Crank persists. Nope, Montgomery circles away and we're back to standing. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Arnold Crank. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Montgomery avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Crank closes this distance looking for a takedown but Montgomery circles away. Crank feints and then cracks Montgomery's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Montgomery down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Montgomery keeps the fight on the outside. Arnold Crank is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Crank finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Crank misses with a wild body shot. Jefferson Montgomery is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Montgomery stuffs the takedown attempt from Crank. Crank gets slowly back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Montgomery lands a two punch combo.

Crank is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crank moves out of range of the strikes. Crank gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Montgomery counters with a one-two to the body. Oh Crank is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Montgomery drops Crank with a naaaaasty hook - Crank is in real trouble here! Montgomery dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jefferson Montgomery!
