Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Clark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Luiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark comes to the cage accompanied by Rent a Wreck. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
22 - 19 - 1, fighting out of New York, Jack Clark! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Luiz! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clark listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Luiz gets a clinch. Clark's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Luiz gets in close and instigates a clinch. Clark throws a head punch that misses. Clark lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Clark blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Clark throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Luizs head. Clark is fighting off a takedown attempt but Luiz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Clark to the mat. Clark regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Clark has momentary wrist control but Luiz slips an elbow through the middle. Luiz throwing strikes from guard but Clark blocks nicely. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Luiz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Luiz missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Luiz scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Clark wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Luiz is now in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clark is staying active underneath Luiz, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Luiz looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Clark with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Luiz working his ground and pound in the gym. Luiz trying to pass the guard but Clark defending well. Luiz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Luiz stalling. Clark wants to improve his position but Luiz is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Luiz throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Luiz is working for a kimura but Clark is defending it quite comfortably.
Clark knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Luiz on the ground. Luiz slows the pace down in half guard. Luiz slips a nice elbow through Clark's hands, connecting with Clark's forehead. Clark is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Luiz scores with a couple of nice shots. Luiz throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Clark to regain full guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Luiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Luiz has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Luiz trying to move into half guard but instead Clark has managed to sweep! Clark sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Clark thows a left - swing and a miss!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Luiz tries to clinch but Clark moves out of range. Luiz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Clark on his heels. He'll look to pass Clark's guard now, I'm sure. Luiz is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Clark keeping moving, preventing Luiz from controlling successfully. Luiz pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Clark is keeping the position for now. Clark not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Luiz throwing strikes but missing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Clark keeping moving, preventing Luiz from controlling successfully. Luiz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clark.
We've been told by Clark's head coaches at Stark Slugger Society - NY that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. David Luiz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Luiz fails with the takedown. Luiz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Clark sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Luiz somewhat. A telegraphed right hand from Luiz misses the target. Clark throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Clark takes a swing at Luiz's ribcage but misses. Clark swats away the attempt to clinch by Luiz. Luiz tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Clark paws at him with a jab and circles away. Luiz tries to clinch up. Luiz has closed the distance and engaged Clark in a clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Clark is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Luiz's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Luiz on the wrong end of a nice hook. Luiz avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Luiz pushes Clark up against the cage in a clinch. Luiz misses with the head strike.
Clark lands a right hand that snaps the head of Luiz backwards.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clark tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Luiz's elbow. Luiz is working for takedown but Clark is calmly controlling the position for now. The referee is keeping an eye on Clark - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Luiz has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Clark clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Well, with Luiz on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Clark is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Luiz missing with strikes from the back. Luiz trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Luiz connects with a nice short shot to Clark's temple.
