The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcia fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Gate to the ground. Garcia is now in Gate's guard.
Garcia got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gate has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Garcia has managed to get both his arms back between Gate's legs - danger averted.
Gate has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Garcia doesn't defend quickly enough and Gate has managed to lock this one up! Can Garcia escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Gate on a fantastic submission victory.
