Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kyle Lyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robbie Mederios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lyle comes into the arena with Who's your Daddy by Mook N Fair blaring out of the sound system. Mederios has chosen Amazing Grace by The Dropkick Murphys as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch lands to the side of Mederios 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Mederios showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lyle.
Lyle dips to his left and cracks Mederios with an uppercut!
Mederios shoots in and bounces Lyle off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lyle is trying to keep Mederios in close.
Mederios thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mederios connects with a nice short shot to Lyle's temple.
Lyle is looking to get back to full guard here but Mederios has managed to pass to side control instead.
Lyle is squirming around, avoiding Mederios's attempts to control the action.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Lyle is trying to stand but he's just given Mederios his back.

Lyle fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mederios looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mederios tries for a takedown but Lyle sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lyle scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
It looks like Robbie Mederios has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Mederios shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Mederios shoots in looking for a takedown. Lyle tries to sprawl out of it but Mederios keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lyle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Mederios takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
