Warton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Tupac Shakur - Ambitionz az a Ridah. Jimmy Warton has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Didion on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Warton connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Didion closes the distance but Warton moves to the side
and Warton makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Didion really felt that one!
Didion takes one to the side of the head.
Didion throws a sloppy head kick and Warton moves out of range easily.
Didion has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Warton.
Warton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've been told by Warton's head coaches at Kahn MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Didion displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Warton throws out the jab.

Warton misses with an uppercut.
Zach Didion is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Didion avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Didion throws a front kick that sends Warton stumbling back into the cage.
Warton fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Didion manages to avoid it.

Didion closes the distance and clinches.

It looks like Jimmy Warton has been cut.
A head punch on the inside from Warton fails to land.

Warton is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Didion is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Warton is defending well for now.
Didion using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Warton has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Didion creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

Didion tightens his grip and picks Warton up, before dumping him to the ground. Warton manages to land in guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Didion working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Didion stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Warton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Didion told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Didion keeps trying to improve his position.

Didion postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Warton is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Didion, into his guard.

Didion wants to get back to his feet but Warton is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Didion utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Warton accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Warton trying to control the position from guard on top but Didion is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Warton will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Warton prevents Didion from getting back to his feet.
Warton works over Didion with some ground and pound from guard.

Warton connects with a couple of short punches.
Warton throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Didion works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Jimmy Warton will probably get the nod.

Warton will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
