The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cahill throws a series of punches but Jones Jr avoids them all with ease.

We've been told by Jones Jr's head coaches at Finn Warriors Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Jones Jr pivots, looking for a leg kick but Cahill is out of range and Jones Jr settles back down.

Cahill shoots in looking for a takedown. Jones Jr tries to sprawl out of it but Cahill keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jones Jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Cahill has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Jones Jr is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Cahill is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Marlon Jones Jr decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
