Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sparky Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaspars Daugavins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Blue clear sky. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sparky Anderson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kaspars Daugavins! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice defenses there by Anderson. Daugavins misses with a lunging right hand
letting Anderson counter with a right hand. Daugavins throws a hook to the side of Anderson's head but Anderson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Anderson takes a jab right on the kisser.
Anderson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Daugavins defends it nicely. A slow jab from Daugavins misses its intended target. Daugavins connects with a looping right hand.
Anderson shoots and misses and Daugavins counters with a two punch combo. Anderson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Daugavins throws out the jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson avoids the body shot from Daugavins.
Anderson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Anderson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Daugavins is keeping the position for now. Anderson looking to sit in guard and control but Daugavins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Anderson is controlling Daugavins's posture. Daugavins throws a big elbow that misses. Anderson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Daugavins is aware though and is defending well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Daugavins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Daugavins must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Anderson not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Anderson is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! That's three minutes gone in the round. Daugavins keeps trying to improve his position. Daugavins won't allow Anderson to sweep him here. Anderson looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Daugavins puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Anderson tries to get to full guard but Daugavins has control of the leg. A close round but Kaspars Daugavins will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Daugavins uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Anderson has time to react. Kaspars Daugavins seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Anderson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Daugavins. Sparky Anderson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Anderson shoots in for a takedown but Daugavins shows good takedown defense. Anderson throws a leg kick that misses. Anderson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Daugavins pinned against the cage. Daugavins gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Daugavins rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Anderson's guard! Nice work there by Daugavins! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Daugavins trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Daugavins trying to move into half guard but instead Anderson has managed to sweep! Anderson passes Daugavins's left leg - he's now in half guard. Anderson trying to mount his opponent but Daugavins defends it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daugavins is not content to let Anderson control the position. Anderson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson is looking to stall here but Daugavins recovers full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Daugavins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Anderson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Anderson wants to pass the guard but Daugavins is keeping the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Anderson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sparky Anderson will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Daugavins misses with a right hand and Anderson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Daugavins thinking. Daugavins misses with a double jab.
Daugavins's jab looks to have found its range, popping Anderson under the eye. Daugavins has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Daugavins throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Anderson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Daugavins misses with a body shot.
Anderson tries for a takedown but Daugavins circles away easily and Daugavins counters with a left to the body. Anderson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sparky Anderson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anderson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anderson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Daugavins missing with a left hand there. Anderson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. The fighters circling - Daugavins throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Anderson shoots in for a double leg but Daugavins sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Anderson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Daugavins counters with a lovely straight right hand! Anderson defending well as Daugavins loads up on a big left hand. Anderson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Daugavins moves away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daugavins throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. The fighters circling - Daugavins throws out the jab but it was never going to land. A bone on bone clash there as Anderson blocks the leg kick.
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown but Daugavins manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Anderson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Daugavins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Daugavins throws a jab but it's blocked by Anderson. Nice shot lands for Daugavins. Daugavins throws a front kick aimed at Anderson's knee but Anderson avoids it well. Anderson slips a jab and a cross from Daugavins.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Daugavins misses with a hook. Daugavins throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Anderson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. A jab from Daugavins misses. Daugavins throws a hook but Anderson blocks it. Daugavins misses with a looping right. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Daugavins fails to land with a series of punches.
Anderson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Daugavins avoids it really well and circles away.
And that's the end of the fight! Kaspars Daugavins comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Daugavins has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Kaspars Daugavins! After the fight, Kaspars Daugavins was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
