Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tork Mendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hart has chosen Vivaldi - 4 Seasons as his entrance music. Richie Hart will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We've been hearing reports that Mendez has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Mendez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mendez. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Mendez shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hart napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hart is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Mendez is controlling him well.

Mendez is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Hart will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mendez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hart parries the strikes from Mendez easily there. Mendez is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Hart to escape.

Mendez is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hart's shoulder. That is not cool.
Mendez misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Richie Hart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.

Richie Hart decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
