Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Albrecht Hedbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vilis Valdis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hedbert comes to the cage accompanied by Assassin. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valdis closes the distance and clinches.
Hedbert is looking to take this one to the mat.
Valdis goes for a takedown in the clinch but Hedbert prevents it.
Hedbert drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Valdis gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Valdis is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Hedbert wants to take the fight to the mat but Valdis manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Hedbert is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Valdis gets his way!

Hedbert goes for a double leg but Valdis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Valdis continues to drive forward.

Valdis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Hedbert tries to pull guard but Valdis holds him up against the cage and eventually Hedbert drops back down to his feet.

Hedbert drops down looking for an ankle pick but Valdis pulls his leg out and moves away.

Hedbert tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Valdis defends well and Hedbert ends up having to push Valdis into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Hedbert jumps guard but Valdis stands there with Hedbert around his waist. Hedbert gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Valdis really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hedbert. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Valdis walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hedbert checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Well Valdis has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
