Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Fernando Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dave Bautista!
The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Bart Greer and Winston Alpacca.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Silva feints and as Bautista raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Bautista is keeping the position.
Silva controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Silva trying to control but Bautista is working from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Fernando Silva.

Silva closes the distance and pushes Bautista back into the cage.

Silva successfully pulls guard.
Bautista slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Silva tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bautista wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Bautista wants to pass to mount but Silva is defending the position.

Bautista is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Silva is surviving well by controlling Bautista's body position as best he can.

Bautista is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Silva to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Silva shrugs it off.

Silva on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Silva tries to get out of the position.

Bautista moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Silva has worked his arm free - good work by Silva!

Bautista thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
