Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Myoto Lachida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Fala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Myoto Lachida! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tim Fala! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fala thows a left - swing and a miss! Fala is looking to clinch. Fala is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lachida fails with a takedown attempt. Fala tries to clinch but Lachida is having none of it. Fala wants to clinch. Fala is looking to clinch but Lachida is avoiding it.
Fala takes the fight into the clinch. Lachida definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lachida changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fala fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Fala has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Lachida throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fala's waist but Fala gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lachida off to one side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Myoto Lachida. That's going to take a lot out of him. Lachida keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Fala tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fala tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Fala misses with a head kick.
Fala has closed the distance and engaged Lachida in a clinch.
Lachida takes an elbow to the temple.
It looks like Myoto Lachida has been cut.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Lachida avoiding damage as Fala throws knees to the body.
Lachida has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Fala avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lachida changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Fala fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Fala is looking to clinch. Fala tries to clinch there but Lachida circles away.
Fala throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Fala is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lachida. Fala tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lachida manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Fala misses with a low kick. Lachida shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fala defends it nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fala throws a wild body kick that Lachida sees coming a mile off. Lachida takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Nice takedown defense from Fala. No joy for Lachida on that attempt. Fala looks to throw the jab but Lachida is out of range. Fala tries to clinch up. Tim Fala is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Fala throws a wild body kick that Lachida sees coming a mile off. Fala tries to clinch up and Lachida counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Fala's guard now. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fala can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Lachida is looking to work some ground and pound but Fala has wrist control. Lachida with a flurry of punches that miss. Lachida throws a big elbow that misses. Lachida forces his way into half guard. Lachida drops an elbow to the side of Fala's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Lachida throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lachida thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fala's head. Lachida drops an elbow to the side of Fala's head. Lachida will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Lachida lands a nice short elbow. Lachida scoring with strikes to the body and head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Myoto Lachida will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Myoto Lachida's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nice sprawl there from Fala as Lachida shoots in. Fala throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Fala clinches up against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Fala obliges. Fala is stalling here.
Lachida tries for a takedown but Fala manages to get underhooks.
Fala lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Fala lands a nice knee to the body. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Fala working Lachida over with knees to the body. Fala gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Fala with a knee to the head.
Myoto Lachida's cut is getting worse. Fala with a knee to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Fala putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Lachida in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Fala drops Lachida with a big knee straight up the middle! Lachida is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet! Fala closes the distance and clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fala lands an elbow inside. Nice elbow from Fala.
Lachida is rocked!
Myoto Lachida's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it. Fala creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Lachida! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Fala.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tim Fala! Tim Fala is the new super heavyweight champion!
