Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Brandy Sneed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Aranda (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brandy Sneed! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Aranda! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sneed shoots in for a double leg but Aranda sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Aranda closes the distance and clinches. A bit of stalling here from Sneed.
Aranda wants to stall.
Sneed pulls guard. Aranda drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Aranda jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Aranda tries to free his leg and advance position but Sneed is retaining full guard. Sneed throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Aranda tries to stand but Sneed is controlling from the bottom. Sneed keeping moving, preventing Aranda from controlling successfully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sneed is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Sneed is working hard here to advance position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Aranda fails in his attempt to clinch. Aranda misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Sneed tries to clinch but Aranda moves out of range. Aranda listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Sneed misses with a hook. Aranda changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sneed looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Aranda throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Aranda lands a few punches from side control. Sneed is looking to regain half guard here but Aranda keeps moving and retains side control. Aranda looking to control but instead Sneed has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Sneed manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sneed controlling Aranda's posture. Sneed is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Sneed trying to mount his opponent but Aranda defends it. Sneed not landing any meaningful shots this time. Sneed controlling the action here. Aranda wants to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sneed tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Aranda. Sneed tries to pass the half guard into mount. Aranda knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Sneed is breathing heavily. Aranda tries to roll over but Sneed keeps him under control. Aranda wants to sweep but Sneed has passed to side control! Sneed trying to control the action but Aranda is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Aranda clinches up with Sneed and pushes him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sneed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Aranda tries to clinch up. Aranda is looking to clinch. Sneed swats away the attempt to clinch by Aranda. Sneed is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Sneed showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Aranda.
Sneed drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Aranda is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Aranda manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Sneed manages to get himself to full guard.
Sneed is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Brandy Sneed will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Sneed shoots in for a takedown and gets it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Aranda is looking to get back to full guard here but Sneed has managed to pass to side control instead. Sneed takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Aranda is trying to escape the mount.
Sneed tries to control but Aranda wriggling away. Sneed punching from mount but Aranda doing a good job of avoiding damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sneed is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Aranda has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Aranda! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Aranda trying to control but Sneed is working from the bottom. Aranda passes into half guard. Aranda trying to control from half guard but Sneed is working away. Aranda tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sneed knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Aranda is looking to stall here but Sneed recovers full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Sneed wants to sweep here but Aranda controlling him for the moment. Sneed has his foot on Aranda's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aranda works his way back into a safe position though. Aranda sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sneed's guard. Aranda seems to be looking for submissions.
Aranda in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Sneed tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Aranda!
