Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randall Sternsgough! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sternsgough shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Astakhov as he jumps to the side. Sternsgough tries for a takedown but Astakhov circles away easily so Astakhov counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Astakhov wanted to stand there but Sternsgough had control of the position. Sternsgough looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Sternsgough is controlling Astakhov's posture. Astakhov trying to control the position from guard on top but Sternsgough is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sternsgough can do anything to dispel that myth.
Ramazan Astakhov has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Sternsgough with a poor takedown and Astakhov moves into the clinch. Ramazan Astakhov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Randall Sternsgough. Sternsgough changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Astakhov fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sternsgough scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Astakhov trying to control but Sternsgough postures up.
Sternsgough working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Sternsgough sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Astakhov defending well though. Astakhov missing with punches from the bottom.
Astakhov is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sternsgough's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sternsgough's back! Sternsgough won't enjoy being in this position. Astakhov looking for the choke. Oh... he's slipped the arm under the neck - Sternsgough is tapping - it's over boys! Astakhov picks up the submission victory!
