Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sly Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gerlisson Marques (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stone tries to clinch but Marques moves out of range.
Marques shoots in looking for a takedown. Stone tries to sprawl out of it but Marques keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Marques shoots in and drives through. Stone sprawls well.
Stone is looking to clinch but Marques is avoiding it.
Marques tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stone sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Marques somewhat.
Sly Stone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gerlisson Marques.
Marques clinches up with Stone and pushes him back against the cage.

Marques is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Marques had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Stone defends it easily.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Marques has his foot on Stone's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stone works his way back into a safe position though.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Marques is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stone might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Stone wants to stand but Marques is controlling his posture from full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Marques is trying to keep Stone in close.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sly Stone dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Marques goes for a double leg but Stone avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Stone continues to drive forward.
