Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Ganso! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Guybrush Threepwood! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Emerson Jorge and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Threepwood looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Threepwood works over Ganso's head and body with a nice combination. Guybrush Threepwood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ganso. Threepwood smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Threepwood throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Threepwood misses with a jab, cross combination.
Ganso gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Threepwood tries to bum rush Ganso with a series of wild strikes but Ganso uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ganso keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Threepwood bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ganso's head backwards. Threepwood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Threepwood tries to bum rush Ganso with a series of wild strikes but Ganso uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ganso is defended easily by Threepwood. Threepwood throws a combination that misses and Ganso decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Threepwood's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Ganso drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Ganso jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Ganso stays in close to Threepwood's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ganso won't allow Threepwood to get back to his feet. Ganso pushes down on Threepwood's leg and manages to get into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ganso prevents Threepwood from improving his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Threepwood is pushing off trying to get to his feet. Ganso has hold of the leg though and he's dropped back for a heel hook… has he got it?? YES! Threepwood is tapping! This fight is all over!
