These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ari Sotaheimo! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! An inside leg kick lands from Sotaheimo. Villegas takes a swing at Sotaheimo's ribcage but misses. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Villegas crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Sotaheimo - the referee stops the clock and Villegas gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Sotaheimo. Villegas manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Villegas misses with a right hand and Sotaheimo counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Villegas tries to keep at a distance but Sotaheimo has taken the fight into the clinch. Sotaheimo pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Villegas is looking to control Sotaheimo's arms but Sotaheimo gets an underhook and turns him. Now Villegas has his back to the cage. Villegas tries to break free but Sotaheimo pushes him back against the cage. Sotaheimo lands a knee to the body.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Villegas walks straight into a right hand from Sotaheimo - that's dropped him! Sotaheimo jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Villegas from any more punishment! Villegas complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Ari Sotaheimo! A relieved looking Ari Sotaheimo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
