The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huang throws a right and a left that Perkins avoids nicely.
Perkins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Huang looks for a takedown but Perkins sprawls well.
Huang is looking to clinch.
Perkins really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Huang fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Perkins.
Huang tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Perkins swivels and escapes.
Perkins misses with a takedown attempt - Huang sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Perkins looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Huang closes the distance and clinches up with Perkins, looking for a takedown. Huang pushes Perkins against the cage but Perkins circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Perkins shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Huang but Huang pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Perkins throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Huang tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Perkins is in Huang's guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Houston Perkins will probably get the nod.

Huang tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Perkins manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Huang shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Perkins as he avoids it easily.

Huang is trying to drag Perkins to the mat but Perkins just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Huang jumps guard but Perkins turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Perkins lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Perkins ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Perkins no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Huang got a little sloppy there for a moment and Perkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Huang has managed to get both his arms back between Perkins's legs - danger averted.
