Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Roger Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Freedom Will Commence as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 20 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roger Marsden! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alex Jones! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsden throws a right and a left that both miss. Marsden moves forwards but Jones connects with a nice, crisp jab. Marsden uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Jones scores with a hook. Marsden scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Marsden throws a nice looking combination but Jones bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Roger Marsden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marsden throws a body punch but Jones moves out of range. Marsden connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Jones's hands. Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones throws a big shot that misses. Marsden fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jones manages to avoid it. Jones cracks Marsden with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Marsden get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Marsden looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!
It looks like Roger Marsden has been cut. Marsden waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Jones. Marsden lands a slapping body shot.

Jones throws a looping overhand right but Marsden ducks down to avoid it. Marsden really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Marsden is rocked! Marsden takes a swing at Jones's ribcage but misses. Marsden swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Marsden thows a left - swing and a miss! Marsden misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Marsden throws a series of punches but Jones avoids them all with ease. Marsden avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Marsden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Jones.
Jones moves forwards but Marsden connects with a nice, crisp jab. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Jones takes one on the button. Marsden scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Sloppy strikes from Marsden. Those never looked like landing.

Jones eats them both and turns towards Marsden to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Marsden moves out of range as Jones strikes. Marsden keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Marsden looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Marsden misses with a hook. Jones thows a body shot but no joy. Jones uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marsden.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! A looping hook to the body misses from Marsden. Jones does a little dance to reset his feet. Jones has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. A jab from Jones misses. Marsden slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Marsden missing with a left hand there. Jones was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jones connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Marsden onto his butt! Marsden bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action. Oh Marsden is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Jones just misses with a punch to the body.
