Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Frank Nicolosi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Makatua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Nicolosi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Sam Makatua! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Makatua moves out of range as Nicolosi strikes. Nicolosi looks to land a right hand but Makatua moved out of range. Nicolosi keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Makatua. Makatua misses with an uppercut
and Nicolosi counters by moving into the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Nicolosi. Nicolosi misses with a hook to the ribs.
A head punch on the inside from Nicolosi fails to land. Nicolosi prevents Makatua from breaking the clinch. Nicolosi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Nicolosi struggles to land a body shot inside as Makatua controls his hands.
Makatua wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Makatua's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Nicolosi keeps control of Makatua as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Nicolosi pushes Makatua back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch. A battle for position here, against the ropes. Makatua working hard to break the clinch. This has been an exciting period of action! Makatua blocking some punches.
Nicolosi lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Makatua backwards.
It looks like Sam Makatua has been cut. Nicolosi softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nicolosi scores with a shoulder strike. Makatua prevents a body shot from Nicolosi. Nicolosi lands a body punch. Makatua wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. I was talking to Nicolosi's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. A right handed body shot lands from Nicolosi.
Makatua looks winded! Nicolosi struggles to land a body shot inside as Makatua controls his hands.
Makatua tries to break free but Nicolosi pushes him back against the ropes. A body shot lands from Nicolosi.
Nicolosi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Nicolosi misses with a punch to the body.
Makatua tries to circle away but Nicolosi has him pinned against the ropes. Nicolosi lands a left hand.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nicolosi lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Makatua is rocked! Nicolosi lands an uppercut. Makatua is still on wobbly legs! Can Nicolosi finish him? Nicolosi creates a bit of distance and cracks Makatua with a big uppercut! Makatua goes down! The referee pushes Nicolosi away into a neutral corner and starts the count. 4,5,6,7. Will Makatua make it up in time? He's still flopping around all over the place! The referee has called off the fight! Nicolosi takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Frank Nicolosi! A very excited looking Frank Nicolosi made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
