The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cruz scores with a hook.
Murometz has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Cruz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Murometz throws a jab but it's blocked by Cruz.
Murometz closes the distance and clinches.
Cruz has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Cruz is looking to break free of the clinch but Murometz has double underhooks.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Murometz works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Cruz misses with an uppercut. Murometz saw that one coming.

and Cruz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Murometz throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Cruz sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Murometz moves in looking to clinch but Cruz pushes him off.

Cruz is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Murometz takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Cruz really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Cruz here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Cruz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Jab, jab by Cruz - just one landing.
Murometz tries to clinch but Cruz moves out of range.
Cruz lands with a hook. Murometz tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Murometz drops his guard momentarily, allowing Cruz to crack him with a picture perfect lead left hook! Boom! Down goes Murometz! Oh, he's in big trouble - I don't like his chances here as the referee's count reaches 5. 6,7,8,9...10! He's out! Cruz takes it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Jorge Cruz!
After the fight, Jorge Cruz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
