The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice sprawl there from Railhell as Carpenter shoots in. Carpenter closes the distance and clinches up with Railhell, looking for a takedown. Carpenter pushes Railhell against the cage but Railhell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Railhell shoots and misses and Carpenter counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Carpenter seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Railhell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Railhell regains full guard. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Railhell lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Carpenter! Railhell working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Carpenter turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Railhell off and cradles Carpenter's limp body as Railhell celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Jeff Railhell!
