Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dean Wesson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Scott Aldridge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wesson comes to the cage accompanied by Imperial March. Dean Wesson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wesson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Aldridge counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Aldridge throws a hook to the side of Wesson's head but Wesson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Wesson moves out of range of the strikes.
Aldridge is looking to slow Wesson down with leg kicks.
Aldridge looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Wesson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Aldridge fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wesson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Wesson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aldridge's waist but Aldridge gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wesson off to one side.

and Aldridge counters with a three punch combo that has Wesson backing up. Wesson nods at Aldridge to acknowledge the strikes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dean Wesson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wesson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Aldridge.

Aldridge tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wesson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Wesson is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Wesson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wesson looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Wesson has hold of Aldridge's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Aldridge tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Wesson cranks the arm and Aldridge screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Aldridge, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Dean Wesson really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Atlantis logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
