Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Risto Haeyhae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joakim Akterhall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Risto Haeyhae! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joakim Akterhall! The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good work by Haeyhae as he checks the leg kick. Akterhall throws a head kick but Haeyhae moves out of range.
Akterhall stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Akterhall wants it to stay on the feet. Haeyhae takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Akterhall. Haeyhae shrugs it off though. Akterhall misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Akterhall keeps the fight on the outside. Haeyhae tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Haeyhae definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Haeyhae takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Haeyhae fails with an attempt to clinch.
Haeyhae avoids a punch combination nicely.
Akterhall avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Akterhall throws a head kick that misses. Haeyhae on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Akterhall lands a nice leg kick that just misses Haeyhae's sensitive parts.
That's one minute gone in the round. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Haeyhae checks a leg kick. Akterhall attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Haeyhae moves out of range of the body kick from Akterhall.
Akterhall slaps away a takedown attempt from Haeyhae, before circling back to the center of the mat. Haeyhae tries for a takedown but Akterhall sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Risto Haeyhae. That's going to take a lot out of him. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Akterhall.
Haeyhae fails in his attempt to clinch. Haeyhae scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Haeyhae working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Haeyhae remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akterhall stops Haeyhae from passing to mount. Akterhall trying to remain calm as Haeyhae controls from the top position. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Akterhall can do anything to dispel that myth. Haeyhae throws an elbow but Akterhall slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Haeyhae misses with the ground and pound. Haeyhae moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Akterhall is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Haeyhae is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Haeyhae looking to control and managing it successfully. Haeyhae thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Akterhall is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Haeyhae sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Haeyhae controlling from mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Risto Haeyhae dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Haeyhae looks for a takedown but Akterhall sprawls well. Haeyhae tries to clinch up but Akterhall circles away and keeps his distance. Akterhall circles away from the clinch attempt.
Haeyhae closes the distance and clinches. Haeyhae scores with a shoulder strike. Haeyhae throws a punch but it's blocked by Akterhall. Akterhall is trying to break the clinch but Haeyhae has him pressed against the cage. Haeyhae misses with a body punch.

That's one minute gone in the round. Haeyhae throws a punch but it's blocked by Akterhall. Haeyhae jumps guard but Akterhall stands there with Haeyhae around his waist. Haeyhae gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Haeyhae swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Akterhall is trying to break free. A head punch blocked on the inside by Akterhall. Haeyhae misses with some punches.
Akterhall wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Haeyhae looking for a takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Risto Haeyhae. That's going to take a lot out of him. Haeyhae tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Akterhall just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Akterhall is pressed up against the cage. Haeyhae has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Akterhall down to the mat. Akterhall avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Haeyhae fails in his attempt to clinch. Joakim Akterhall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Akterhall throws a leg kick but Haeyhae sees it coming and checks it nicely. Akterhall throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Haeyhae. Haeyhae takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Haeyhae closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Akterhall did well to prevent Haeyhae getting side control. Haeyhae trying to control from half guard but Akterhall is working away. Akterhall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haeyhae. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Haeyhae controlling the action here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Haeyhae not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Akterhall is looking for a sweep. Haeyhae is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Haeyhae has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Akterhall defend it? Haeyhae steps over the head and cranks it - Akterhall is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Haeyhae!
