Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin MacOwan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin MacOwan will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin MacOwan!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from MacOwan.
King motions for MacOwan to come forward. King throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
King misses with a low kick.
MacOwan misses with a looping right.
King wants to slow MacOwan down by chopping away at his legs.
MacOwan throws a combination that misses

and King counters with a nice double leg into guard.

King stands and throws MacOwan's legs to the side, diving into side control.
King takes a little break here. MacOwan wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
MacOwan dodges the ground and pound from King.

That's one minute gone in the round.

King tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if MacOwan can do anything to dispel that myth.
King throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
King wants to control but MacOwan is keeping him busy.
MacOwan is trying to get back to his feet.
King cracks MacOwan with a big right hand but MacOwan just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
King has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
King passes to full mount! That's big trouble for MacOwan!
MacOwan is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
King fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee warns MacOwan that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
King postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. MacOwan looks a forlorn figure.
King putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!

King wants to finish this one by submission but MacOwan is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from King.
MacOwan's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
King landing strikes, looking to finish!


MacOwan is rocked!
MacOwan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with King. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked MacOwan badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of King around the waist but King pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! King is the winner by TKO! King jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William King!
