Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksandr Karelin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mikey Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brown has chosen Can't Hold Us as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aleksandr Karelin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mikey Brown! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paulsen Ambrosius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A combination from Karelin does no damage. Nice sprawl there from Brown as Karelin shoots in. Karelin throws a series of punches but Brown avoids them all with ease. Brown closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Karelin's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Karelin looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Karelin being controlled here, momentarily. Let's hope that Brown has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Brown wants to pass the guard but Karelin is keeping the position. Brown wants to stand but Karelin is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karelin wants to sweep here but Brown controlling him for the moment. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Karelin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mikey Brown hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Karelin moves in looking to clinch but Brown pushes him off. Brown darts in trying to clinch and Karelin counters with a one-two to the body. Karelin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karelin rushes Brown and presses him up against the cage. Brown ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brown no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karelin wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brown is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Karelin lands a couple of digs. Karelin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Karelin trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Karelin wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. Karelin looking to sit in guard and control but Brown gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Karelin has a closed guard, preventing Brown from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown trying to control the position from guard on top but Karelin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Brown is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Karelin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Brown wants to pass the guard but Karelin is keeping the position. Brown stays in close to Karelin's body and controls the position.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mikey Brown wasn't active enough on the ground. Karelin scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karelin blocks a head kick by Brown.
We've been informed that Brown has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Brown misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Karelin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Karelin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The ground and pound from Karelin seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Brown is looking to reverse the position. Karelin scoring with punches from side control. Brown parries the strikes from Karelin easily there. Karelin is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Brown to escape.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karelin is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Brown has escaped the position, nice work there. Karelin is trying to ground and pound but Brown uses the momentary lack of control by Karelin to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Aleksandr Karelin dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Brown misses with a low kick.
Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but Karelin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Karelin throws a leg kick but Brown sees it coming and checks it nicely. Brown scores with a jab to the body. No luck for Karelin with that takedown attempt. Brown shoots in but no luck this time. Karelin lands a left and a right that send Brown crashing to the mat, dazed. Karelin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Brown is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Karelin flashes Brown a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Brown's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Brown crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Karelin punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Aleksandr Karelin!
