The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mejia displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mohamed.
Mohamed fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Mejia misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mohamed with a lazy takedown attempt
and Mejia counters by clinching up.
Sanford Mejia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Labyad Mohamed.
Mohamed has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Mejia is trying to keep an underhook but Mohamed manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Mejia pushes Mohamed off but Mohamed dives into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mejia wants to get back to his feet.
Mejia might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mohamed cracks Mejia with a big right hand but Mejia just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Mejia looks to move to half guard but instead Mohamed has passed into mount! Damn!
Mohamed wants to control the pace but Mejia is squirming around nicely.
Mohamed takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Mejia is trying desperately to improve position.

Mohamed with shots to the head and body - Mejia looks very uncomfortable down there.

Mohamed has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mohamed wants to control the pace but Mejia is squirming around nicely.

Mohamed is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Mejia is forced to tap! Great finish!
