Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Boris Hutchinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abe Cain! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cain shoots in and gets a takedown into Hutchinson's guard. Hutchinson wants to sweep here but Cain controlling him for the moment. Cain trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cain won't allow Hutchinson to sweep him here. Hutchinson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Hutchinson working a defensive guard but Cain passes into half guard.

Hutchinson really is a fat lump. Hutchinson tries to buck Cain off but Cain is having none of it. Hutchinson manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
That's one minute gone in the round. Cain has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Hutchinson is on him like a limpet, forcing Cain back against the cage. Hutchinson takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Boris Hutchinson has been cut. Hutchinson is looking for a takedown. Hutchinson is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Cain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Cain closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hutchinson quickly recovers to half guard. Cain looking for a submission but Hutchinson manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Cain wants to pass the guard but Hutchinson is keeping the position. Hutchinson keeping moving, preventing Cain from controlling successfully. Cain being controlled here momentarily. This has been an exciting period of action!
The ref stands the fighters back up. Abe Cain was stalling too much, according to the referee. A momentary lapse in concentration from Hutchinson enables Cain to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hutchinson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cain not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Hutchinson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Hutchinson wants to stand but Cain is controlling the position. Hutchinson tries to strike from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hutchinson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cain! Cain bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cain gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The strikes coming from Cain are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Hutchinson manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Cain is thwarting Hutchinson's attempts to control the position. Hutchinson tries to roll over but Cain keeps him under control. Cain is looking to stall here but Hutchinson recovers full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hutchinson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Hutchinson wants to sweep but no luck. OK we're going to have a standup here. Abe Cain hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Cain fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hutchinson. Hutchinson doesn't manage to clinch there - Cain circles away.
Cain throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cain throws a nice head kick!
Cain shoots in and gets a takedown into Hutchinson's guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hutchinson has Cain pulled in close to control his posture. Cain sitting in guard here, content to control.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Abe Cain wasn't active enough on the ground. Cain shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hutchinson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hutchinson swats away the attempt to clinch by Cain. Abe Cain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Cain closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hutchinson's guard. Cain stands and throws Hutchinson's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. You can see the frustration on Hutchinson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Hutchinson trying to control but Cain flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Abe Cain has got the better of the ground game so far. Hutchinson is really stuck here.
Cain has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Hutchinson's body.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Cain working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hutchinson tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Cain trying to control but Hutchinson is having none of it. Cain looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Cain throws some wild stikes that Hutchinson manages to avoid easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hutchinson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Cain is standing up, even though he is in mount. Hutchinson gets caught napping as Cain dives in and scores a takedown. Hutchinson manages to retain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hutchinson is pulling down on Cain's head. It's preventing any offense from Cain, at least for the moment. Hutchinson keeping moving, preventing Cain from controlling successfully. Hutchinson wants to sweep but no luck. Cain pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hutchinson is keeping the position for now. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Hutchinson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
And that's the end of the fight! Abe Cain comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Cain has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
