Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bruce Davidson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bob Sled!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sled throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Davidson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sled is in Davidson's guard.

Davidson is working an open guard so Sled takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Sled has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Sled there as he acknowledges the shot.

Davidson closes the distance and clinches.

Sled jumps into guard, dragging Davidson to the mat.
Sled wants to sweep but no luck.

Sled wants to get back to his feet but Davidson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Davidson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Sled controls Davidson momentarily but Davidson frees himself.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Sled holds on and takes a little breather.

Bob Sled has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Davidson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Sled napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Sled tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Davidson wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.



Sled dives in and scores a takedown into Davidson's guard.

Sled wants to stand but Davidson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

It looks like Bruce Davidson has been cut.

Sled jumps guard and drags Davidson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Sled wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Davidson is now in half guard.

Sled holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.

Davidson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sled drops back, looking for a kneebar! Davidson looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Davidson looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Davidson!

Bruce Davidson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Davidson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
