Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Oren Spencer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Gibbon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gibbon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Chase & Status Ft. Moko - Count On Me kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Oren Spencer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pete Gibbon! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Daniel Bishop and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gibbon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Gibbon's corner is telling him to maintain position. Gibbon would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Spencer trying to control the position.
Spencer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Spencer avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Gibbon in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Gibbon with a flurry of punches that miss. Spencer manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gibbon manages to get himself to full guard.
Spencer throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Gibbon gets the takedown into side control. Check out the look on Gibbon's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Gibbon thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Gibbon in side control lands a decent elbow. Spencer is being controlled here. Gibbon looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gibbon goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Spencer rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Gibbon's guard! Nice work there by Spencer!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Spencer won't allow Gibbon to get back to his feet. Spencer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Gibbon's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gibbon bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Spencer's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibbon showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Gibbon throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Spencer can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gibbon controls the pace. Gibbon trying to control the position from guard on top but Spencer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Gibbon stops Spencer from standing up. Spencer striking off his back but it's not causing Gibbon any problems.
Pete Gibbon has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Gibbon scores with a takedown into Spencer's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gibbon scoring with some ground and pound. Spencer is breathing heavily. Spencer being controlled here, momentarily. Gibbon lands a couple of digs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gibbon content to stall in guard here. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Gibbon trying to control but Spencer is working from the bottom. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Gibbon working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Gibbon dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Gibbon moves into the clinch. Spencer jumps guard and drags Gibbon to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Gibbon makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Gibbon trying to control but Spencer is working from the bottom. Gibbon throwing strikes but missing. Gibbon slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Gibbon advances to half guard. Gibbon has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Gibbon sitting and controlling from the half guard. Gibbon lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbon is working for a kimura but Spencer is defending it quite comfortably.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbon trying to control from half guard but Spencer is working away. Gibbon is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Spencer is just riding it out for now. Gibbon eventually gives up the hold. Gibbon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Spencer is rocked! Well, if Gibbon is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gibbon's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Spencer tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Gibbon is looking to advance position but Spencer won't allow it. Gibbon is looking for a kimura but Spencer is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gibbon to get the leverage. Gibbon is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Spencer sees it coming and defends easily. Gibbon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Gibbon is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gibbon thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Spencer taking some punishment here, with Gibbon in his half guard. Gibbon content to control rather than advance. Gibbon prevents Spencer from improving his position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gibbon works his way into side control. Gibbon is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Spencer knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Pete Gibbon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
No joy there for Gibbon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Gibbon shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Spencer's guard. Gibbon trying to stand up but can't free himself from Spencer's guard. Gibbon passes into half guard. Gibbon working Spencer over with strikes. Gibbon performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gibbon works his way into full mount! Spencer is trying to escape the mount.
Gibbon takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Spencer can't escape the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Gibbon wants to control but instead Spencer manages to regain half guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Gibbon is pressing down on Spencer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Spencer is holding on for now. Gibbon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Gibbon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gibbon sitting and controlling from the half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Gibbon lands a nice short elbow. Gibbon slows the pace down in half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Spencer trying to control from the bottom.
Spencer is looking to improve his position.
Gibbon moves into side control, avoiding the strikes from Spencer.
Gibbon takes a little break here. Spencer wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Gibbon has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Gibbon looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
And that's the end of the fight! Pete Gibbon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Gibbon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Pete Gibbon! After the fight, Pete Gibbon was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
