Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Abed Nadir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartholomew Roach (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nadir kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is M.A.S.H Theme. Roach has chosen The Simpsons Theme Song as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nadir looks to score with a jab to the body but Roach is just out of range.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Nadir, as that shot connected.

Nadir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Roach manages to avoid it.
Nadir gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Nadir on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Roach feints and then cracks Nadir's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Nadir down.

Roach clobbers Nadir with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Abed Nadir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Roach is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Nadir had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Nadir crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Roach - the referee stops the clock and Nadir gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Roach. Nadir manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Roach throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Nadir stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Roach gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Roach gets through Nadir's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Nadir drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Roach lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Roach tries to work over Nadir's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Nadir takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Bartholomew Roach seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Roach throws a leg kick which misses Nadir's front leg but catches the back leg as Nadir tries to avoid it.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Roach.
Roach feints with a jab and clips Nadir right behind the ear with a massive overhand right! Nadir is sent crashing into the canvas and Roach leaps in for the kill! Nadir tries to get to his feet but Roach is just battering him from every conceivable angle. The ref decides that Nadir is in need of a savior and steps in!
