The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gleesen misses with a wild combination.
Gleesen fails to land with a series of punches.
Laffer could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Laffer shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Gleesen is trying to stand.
Laffer tries to pass the half guard into mount. Gleesen knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Gleesen is in trouble now - Laffer has advanced to mount!
Laffer seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Gleesen is holding on tight.

Laffer goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Gleesen turns into him and now he's in Laffer's guard.

Gleesen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Laffer drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Laffer jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Laffer works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Laffer is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Gleesen is looking to escape.

Laffer wants to pass to mount but Gleesen is defending the position.
