Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kris Marsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sub Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Norris has chosen Norris Man - When Your Time Is Up as his entrance music. Kris Marsh has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
37 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kris Marsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Sub Norris! The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Norris looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Marsh is refusing to be controlled, as Norris sits in half guard. Norris is trying to work for a kimura but Marsh is defending well.
Marsh is trying to stand.
Norris stalling away here and it's allowed Marsh to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Marsh tries to land a sweep but no joy. Marsh trying to control the position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Marsh is on top in guard.
Norris escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Marsh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Norris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving. Marsh slips nicely into half guard. Marsh wants to pass to mount but Norris is defending the position. Marsh thows a huge punch but Norris dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Marsh lands a nice short elbow. Norris looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Marsh throwing shots but Norris is blocking nicely. Norris trying to hold on to Marsh's head to control him but Marsh postures up.
Marsh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Norris does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Norris trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Norris is not content to let Marsh control the position. Norris has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Marsh is working away from the top position though. Norris is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Marsh's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Marsh's back! Marsh is really stuck here.
Marsh manages to reverse the position and now he's in Norris's guard. Nice work there by Marsh.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Norris looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Marsh keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Norris's head. Norris working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Marsh has passed into half guard!
Norris looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Norris wants to get back to full guard. Marsh looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Marsh looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Norris with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Marsh connects with a nice short shot to Norris's temple. Norris gets full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsh wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Marsh's corner. There ya go! There ya go! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Marsh is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Marsh scores with a decent looking elbow strike. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Marsh postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Marsh wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving. Marsh showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Norris looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Norris is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Marsh is pushing down on Norris's leg trying to pass to half guard. Norris is fighting to maintain full guard but Marsh has managed to sneak the leg through. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Kris Marsh will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Norris tries to clinch but Marsh moves out of range. Norris fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Marsh avoids it really well and circles away. Norris gets the takedown into side control. Norris working away. Marsh gets back to half guard. Marsh makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Marsh. Marsh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Norris can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Norris controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Norris trying to control the position from guard on top but Marsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Norris! Norris is bucking up trying to escape but Marsh cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Norris is trying desperately to improve position. Marsh lands with some strikes. Marsh scores with a couple of good head shots there.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marsh with shots to the head and body - Norris looks very uncomfortable down there. Marsh fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Norris is rocked! Norris is squirming around, avoiding Marsh's attempts to control the action. Norris is still in real trouble! Can Marsh finish him? Norris is desperately trying to improve his position but Marsh has a good base and remains in mount. Marsh working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. Marsh looking to control and managing it successfully. Marsh avoids the attempt from Norris to control. Norris seems to have recovered his senses. Norris bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Marsh looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Norris trying to control the position from guard on top but Marsh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Norris preventing the sweep.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Norris wants to control from the top but Marsh keeps moving. Marsh controls Norris momentarily but Norris frees himself. Marsh wants to sweep here but Norris controlling him for the moment. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Marsh keeping moving, preventing Norris from controlling successfully.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Sub Norris hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Marsh is looking to slow Norris down with leg kicks. Marsh takes the fight into the clinch. Marsh digs a right hand into Norris's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Norris's gas tank. Marsh misses with a body punch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Norris manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Norris looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Marsh distracts Norris with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Marsh trying to control the position from guard on top but Norris is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Marsh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Marsh lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Marsh avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kris Marsh dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Marsh turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Marsh fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kris Marsh seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Marsh thows a left - swing and a miss! Norris blocks a low kick nicely. Sub Norris is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Norris shoots in looking for a takedown. Marsh tries to sprawl out of it but Norris keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marsh manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Marsh moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Norris blocks a head kick by Marsh.
Norris is looking to clinch. Norris closes the distance and pushes Marsh back into the cage. Norris blocks a punch to the side of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsh gets underhooks to prevent Norris's takedown attempt.
Marsh tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Norris's elbow. Norris is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Marsh pulls him back up using the underhooks. Kris Marsh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sub Norris. Marsh can't find room to land a body shot as Norris controls the action.

Norris is fighting off a takedown attempt but Marsh is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Norris to the mat. Norris regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Kris Marsh overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Norris is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Marsh throwing strikes but missing. Marsh with a nice head shot there. Marsh trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Norris is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Marsh wants to control from the top but Norris keeps moving. Marsh cracks Norris with a solid left hand. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Norris trying to control the position.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marsh trying to control the action but Norris is working from the bottom. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Marsh takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
And that's the end of the fight! Kris Marsh showed his dominance in that final round. Well Marsh has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
