The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith just misses with a punch to the body.
A low kick from Jones misses
and Jones takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Jones moves forwards but Smith connects with a nice, crisp jab.

and Smith counters with a shoot takedown. Jones fights it but they end up in guard.
Smith's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Jones is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Smith has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Axia Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Clifford Smith hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Good leg kick by Jones there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Smith has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones.
Jasper Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Smith counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jones!

Smith takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Jones throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Smith on the side of the head.

and Smith counters with a straight right hand.
Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Jones tries to clinch up.
Smith displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Jones throws out the jab.
Smith sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Smith lands an overhand right.
Smith fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Jones tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith slips a jab from Jones.
An inside leg kick lands from Jones.
Jones misses with a hook. Smith ducked under it nicely.
Smith throws a leg kick but Jones sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Jones throws a big shot that misses.
Jones takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jones closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Smith.
Jones scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Smith is trying to maintain a safe position but Jones gets an underhook and turns Smith into the cage.

Jones tries to land knees in the clinch but Smith avoids the damage to the body.

Smith is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Jones has denied him.

Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
That has opened up Clifford Smith's cut even more.

Jones throws a shot from downtown. Smith moves away and avoids it.

Smith keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Smith walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Jones! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!

Jasper Jones decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
