Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gilberto Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Speed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Chad Campbell and Columbo Gatti.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Todd is looking to clinch.
Speed throws a low kick but it's checked well by Todd.
Speed is looking to score with low kicks.
Todd avoids the head kick by Speed.
Speed stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Speed wants it to stay on the feet.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Todd.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Todd prevents Speed from escaping the position.
Todd tries to score with some ground and pound. Speed controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Speed is looking for a sweep.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Todd will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Speed is trying to control but can't.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Todd really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Speed is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Speed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Todd swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Speed is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Todd to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Todd shrugs it off.
Speed won't let Todd get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Speed is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Todd can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Speed has hold of Todd's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Todd manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Well Speed has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
