The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gabaldon on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
LeChance looks to clinch
and Gabaldon counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Gabaldon trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
LeChance is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gabaldon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of LeChance's head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gabaldon not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
LeChance looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Gabaldon working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of LeChance's head.
LeChance throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Gabaldon is working LeChance over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Gabaldon keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of LeChance's head.
Gabaldon gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
LeChance tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

LeChance is looking to clinch.
Gabaldon drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Gabaldon is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
LeChance controls Gabaldon momentarily but Gabaldon frees himself.
Gabaldon seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Gabaldon stands up from guard. Let's bang!
LeChance tries to close the distance and clinch up but Gabaldon swats him away and circles back towards the center.

LeChance is breathing heavily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gabaldon is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, LeChance is hurt! He's hurt bad - Gabaldon fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save LeChance from any more punishment! Congratulations to Gabaldon! Great finish!
