Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mason Marshall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Trujillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mason Marshall has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mason Marshall! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcelo Trujillo! The judges for this bout are Radbod Blank, Patrick Alders and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling eachother endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive. Trujillo misses with a takedown enabling Marshall to counter with a crisp jab. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Marshall throws a right hand that Trujillo ducks under and follows up with a left that Trujillo also avoids with ease.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marshall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Marshall pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Trujillo back to the cage. Marshall follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Marshall misses with a few strikes there.
Trujillo tries for a takedown but Marshall circles away easily and Marshall counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. We've been told by Marshall's head coaches at Mano`s Elite BJJ Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Trujillo fails with the takedown and Marshall counters with a straight right hand. Mason Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelo Trujillo.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trujillo walks into a jab. Trujillo shoots and misses and Marshall counters with a straight right hand. Trujillo needs to keep his hands up - Marshall had a free shot at his head there. Marshall comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marshall scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Marshall swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Sloppy strikes from Marshall. Those never looked like landing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Trujillo slips a jab and a cross from Marshall.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trujillo with a lazy takedown attempt and Marshall connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Marshall ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Trujillo moves away. Marshall swings and misses with a shot to the body and Trujillo counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Trujillo prevents Marshall from standing back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trujillo wants to pass the guard but Marshall is defending well. Trujillo keeps trying to improve his position. Marshall looks like he's trying to stand up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Marshall pushes Trujillo off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Trujillo fails with the takedown and Marshall counters with a right hand to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trujillo misses with a takedown and Marshall counters with a left and a right that stings Trujillo. Trujillo looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Mason Marshall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcelo Trujillo. Marshall throws a one two combo.
Trujillo misses with a takedown attempt and Marshall counters with a series of strikes. Trujillo will be more careful next time no doubt.

Marshall throws a right and a left that Trujillo avoids nicely. Trujillo shoots and misses and Trujillo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A combination from Marshall does no damage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mason Marshall will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Marcelo Trujillo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mason Marshall is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Marshall throws a series of punches but Trujillo avoids them all with ease.
And that's the end of the fight! Mason Marshall showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Marshall, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
