PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fedor Konuhov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Schneider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Konuhov comes into the arena with Art of War blaring out of the sound system. Schneider has chosen What Would David Schneider Do? as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Fedor Konuhov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Schneider!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paul Aken and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konuhov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Konuhov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Schneider's waist but Schneider gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Konuhov off to one side.
Schneider shoots in for a double leg but Konuhov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Konuhov shoots in looking for a takedown. Schneider tries to sprawl out of it but Konuhov keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Schneider manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
