Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cyril Yamoth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrance Gerltz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Yamoth might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Enter Sandman - Metallica. Gerltz has chosen Rage Against The Machine - Killing In The Name Of as his entrance music. Lawrance Gerltz has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cyril Yamoth! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lawrance Gerltz! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Nard Betker and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamoth looking to score a takedown here. Gerltz is defending well but Yamoth drives through and ends up in Gerltz's guard. Yamoth content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Yamoth wants to control from the top but Gerltz keeps moving. Yamoth tries to free his leg and advance position but Gerltz is retaining full guard. Gerltz has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Yamoth might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gerltz wants to sweep here but Yamoth controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamoth lands a couple of elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gerltz controls Yamoth momentarily but Yamoth frees himself. Yamoth controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Gerltz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yamoth. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Gerltz tries to land a sweep but no joy. Yamoth drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Gerltz dives on top into guard. Gerltz wants to control from the top but Yamoth keeps moving. We've been hearing good reports from Yamoth's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Gerltz tries to free his leg and advance position but Yamoth is retaining full guard. Yamoth is pulling down on Gerltz's head to control his posture.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamoth's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gerltz with a nice cross. Gerltz swats away the attempt to clinch by Yamoth. A shot to the liver by Gerltz. Beautiful body shot. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd cheers as Gerltz lands an impressive looking overhand right. Yamoth doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like Cyril Yamoth has been cut. Gerltz buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Gerltz blocks a jab. Yamoth looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Yamoth takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamoth throws a jab when Gerltz was well out of range. Yamoth tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Gerltz defends well and Yamoth ends up having to push Gerltz into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A short left from Gerltz. Gerltz stalling the fight.
Gerltz stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Gerltz breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lawrance Gerltz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Gerltz scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Gerltz scores with a punch to the head. Gerltz is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Gerltz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Yamoth's sensitive parts. Gerltz thuds his right hand into Yamoth's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Gerltz turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. A head kick from Gerltz lands but Yamoth takes it in his stride.
Yamoth is rocked! Yamoth gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Gerltz gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Yamoth is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lawrance Gerltz! After winning the bout, Lawrance Gerltz thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
